In my latest YouTube video, I list 8 examples from downtown Hartford of destructions of old buildings that were replaced with parking lots. These losses leave gaps in the city’s urban fabric. Many are in particularly prominent locations, such as the western gateway to the city across from Bushnell Park at Asylum and Pearl Streets, and the large swath at the corner of Main and Asylum Streets, right in the heart of what was once the city’s prime shopping district.
